── About Signature Syn Halo Hair Extensions ──
What are halo hair extensions?
Halo extensions use a near-invisible adjustable wire that sits under your natural hair at the crown. There are no clips, no glue, and no heat bonding required — just instant length and volume in under 30 seconds.
Are Signature Syn Halo extensions real or synthetic hair?
Our extensions are made from premium Kanekalon synthetic fibre — engineered to look and feel like real Remy human hair, and heat-safe up to 180°C.
What is Kanekalon fibre?
Kanekalon is a premium synthetic fibre used in professional-grade extensions and wigs. It has a natural sheen, soft texture, and is heat-resistant up to 180°C when used with a heat protector. It is widely regarded as the gold standard in synthetic hair.
What is the difference between synthetic and human hair extensions?
Human hair extensions can be coloured and styled just like natural hair, but cost significantly more and require more maintenance. Synthetic Kanekalon extensions are more affordable, hold their style well, are heat-safe up to 180°C, and are an excellent choice for everyday wear. They cannot be dyed, so you choose your colour upfront.
Are Kanekalon extensions worth it compared to cheaper synthetic options?
Yes. Budget synthetic fibres often look plasticky, tangle easily, and have poor heat tolerance. Kanekalon is engineered to mimic the look and feel of real hair — it's softer, more natural in appearance, tangle-resistant, and heat-safe. The difference in quality is immediately noticeable.
What styles are available?
We offer three textures: Straight, Wavy, and Curly — available as Single, Double, or Triple Packs.
What lengths are available?
14", 18", and 22". All colours are available in every length — check the product page for full details.
How many colours do you offer?
36 shades, from natural blondes and brunettes to bold fashion colours. Synthetic fibre cannot be dyed by traditional dye, so please choose your shade before purchasing.
Which halo extension length is best for me?
14" adds subtle length and volume, ideal if your natural hair is already mid-length. 18" is our most popular length — versatile and flattering on most hair types. 22" delivers dramatic length and maximum volume, best for those wanting a bold transformation.
What is the difference between a Single, Double, and Triple Pack?
Single Pack = one halo in your chosen style. Double Pack = two halos for fuller volume. Triple Pack = all three textures (Straight, Wavy, Curly) for maximum versatility.
── Application & Wear ──
How do you apply halo hair extensions?
Place the wire just below your crown, let the extension fall naturally around it, then pull a thin section of your natural hair over the wire to conceal it. The full application takes under 30 seconds — no tools needed.
Will halo extensions look natural on me?
Yes — when matched correctly to your hair colour and blended well, halo extensions are virtually undetectable. The invisible wire sits completely hidden under your natural hair. Our 36 shades are designed to match a wide range of UK hair tones, and our team is happy to help you find your perfect match.
Do halo extensions work on fine or thin hair?
Yes — halo extensions are one of the best options for fine or thinning hair. Because the wire sits on top of your hair rather than attaching to it, there is no tension, pulling, or stress on fragile strands.
Do halo extensions work on short hair?
They work best when your natural hair is at least 3 inches at the crown to cover the wire. If you're unsure, contact our team for personalised advice.
Can I wear halo extensions every day?
Yes. They are lightweight, comfortable, and designed for daily wear.
Can I swim or exercise wearing halo extensions?
We don't recommend swimming in your halo extensions — chlorine and saltwater can damage synthetic fibre and shorten their lifespan. For exercise, light activity is fine, but we recommend removing them before swimming, intense workouts, or anything that causes heavy sweating.
How do I adjust the wire size?
Each halo comes with an adjustable wire so you can get a snug, comfortable fit. A free spare wire is also included with every order in case of accidental breakage.
Can I wear a halo extension with a ponytail or updo?
Halo extensions work best worn down or in loose styles. High ponytails and tight updos can expose the wire. However, a low ponytail or half-up style works well — simply ensure the wire remains covered by your natural hair at the crown.
Can I wear halo extensions with glasses or a headband?
Yes — glasses sit in front of the wire and don't interfere with the halo at all. Headbands can be worn over the top and actually help keep the wire in place. Just ensure the headband doesn't push the wire forward past your hairline.
Are halo extensions suitable for older women or women with age-related hair thinning?
Absolutely — halo extensions are one of the most recommended options for women experiencing age-related hair thinning or loss. They add instant volume and length with zero damage, no tension on the scalp, and no need for salon visits. Many of our customers use them daily for a confidence boost.
── Heat Styling ──
Are Signature Syn Halo extensions heat resistant?
Yes — our Kanekalon fibre is heat-safe up to 180°C with a heat protector. Compatible with straighteners, curling wands, and blow dryers. Do not exceed 180°C.
Can I straighten or curl my halo extensions?
Yes, up to 180°C with a heat protector applied first. This applies to both the extension hair and your natural hair when styling them together.
Can I dye or bleach Kanekalon extensions?
No — synthetic fibre cannot be dyed or bleached. Please choose from our 36 colour options before purchasing.
── Weight & Quality ──
How much do the extensions weigh?
14" = 100g | 18" = 120g | 22" = 140g. Significantly above the 80–100g industry standard for fuller, more natural results.
Are halo extensions better than clip-in extensions?
For most people, yes — especially for everyday wear. Halo extensions apply in seconds with no clips, cause zero damage to your natural hair, and are more comfortable for long-term wear. Clip-ins can cause tension on the hair and scalp over time. Halos are also easier to put in and take out, making them ideal for beginners.
How long do halo hair extensions last?
With proper care, typically 3–6 months with daily wear. Occasional wearers can expect longer.
How do I care for my halo extensions?
Brush gently before and after wearing. Wash occasionally with cool water and a sulphate-free shampoo. Air dry naturally. Store flat or on the included hanger when not in use. Do not sleep in them.
How do I store my halo extension to make it last longer?
Always store your extension flat or hanging on the included hanger — never folded or bundled, as this causes kinking and tangling. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat sources. A clean, dry storage bag or box is ideal for protecting the fibre between wears.
── Colour Matching ──
How do I know which colour to choose?
Match the extension to the mid-lengths and ends of your natural hair rather than your roots — this gives the most seamless blend. If you're between two shades, go slightly lighter; a lighter shade blends more naturally and can create a subtle sun-kissed effect. Our team is happy to help — send us a photo and we'll advise.

── Troubleshooting ──
Why does my halo extension keep slipping?
Slipping is usually caused by a wire that's too loose or hair that's too smooth. First, tighten the wire for a snugger fit. Then add a small amount of dry shampoo or texturising spray at the roots before placing the halo — this gives the wire grip. Make sure the front section of your natural hair is pulled firmly over the wire.
My extension looks too thick or bulky — what am I doing wrong?
This is usually a blending issue. Make sure you're pulling enough of your natural hair over the wire and blending the extension hair into your own at the sides and back. A light backcomb at the roots before placing the halo can also help your natural hair sit more seamlessly over the weft.
How do I stop the wire from showing?
Position the wire 2–3 cm back from your hairline — not too far forward. Then pull a generous section of your natural hair from the front over the wire and smooth it down. If the wire is still visible, try tightening it slightly and ensure your front section is thick enough to cover it fully.
── Gifting & Occasions ──
Are halo extensions a good gift idea?
Yes — they make a brilliant gift for birthdays, Christmas, Mother's Day, or any special occasion. If you're unsure of the recipient's shade, our team can help you choose, or you can opt for a gift card so they can select their own colour and length.
Which pack would you recommend for a wedding or special occasion?
For weddings and events, we recommend the Double Pack for maximum volume and a full, glamorous finish. If the bride or guest wants versatility across the day (e.g. straight for the ceremony, wavy for the evening), the Triple Pack is the ultimate choice.
